John Moolenaar sponsors bill giving the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development power to intervene in groundwater disputes.

In many rural areas of Michigan wells are going dry, leaving homeowners without drinking and bathing water or toilets. But many people including well drillers and health department officials, are blaming crop irrigation by large farms for depleting the groundwater and making wells go dry, not just the drought.
