Midland man involved in Tompkins Township crash upgraded to fair condition

The 24-year-old Midland man alleged to have crashed his car into a tree in Tompkins Township Sunday morning has been upgraded to fair condition, University of Michigan Hospital spokeswoman Tracy Justice said. According to a release sent out by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, the man lost control of his vehicle while driving south on Onondaga Road in Tompkins Township, left the road and struck a tree around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. He was airlifted from Allegiance Hospital to U-M and arrived in critical condition.
