Midland home damaged by Sunday fire

The bedroom of a Reardon Court home was damaged by a Sunday fire, which caused smoke and heat damage throughout the structure.

The Midland Fire Department said the fire was called in at 7:24 p.m., and brought crews from all three fire stations to the home at 615 Reardon Court, where owner Mary White and five children live.

Thu Oct 18: Final mobile food distribution

The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network is planning its last mobile food pantry distribution of the year at the West Midland Family Center, 4011 West Isabella Road, Midland, on Thursday. The food will be distributed at noon with registration prior to distribution. No proof of income or identification is needed to receive food.

Maxwell throws costly pick, Spartans lose

Midland's Maxwell was 12-31 passing
with 179  yards and 1 interception.

MSU suffered its third home loss of the season, 19-16 in double overtime to Iowa on Saturday.

Quarterback Andrew Maxwell's pass was tipped at the line and then went off the hands of wide receiver Keith Mumphery before Iowa's Greg Castillo came down with the ball to seal the Hawkeyes' victory.
