UPDATE: Pair charged in meth lab bust

A preliminary hearing has been set for two people who were arrested for operating a methamphetamine lab that was discovered during a traffic stop last week.

During an inventory search of the vehicle, deputies found a small bag containing white powder. The Midland County Prosecutor’s Office charged Brian Bidwell with operating a meth lab, possession of meth, driving without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle. Amanda Stockwell faces charges of operating a meth lab and possession of meth.

Operating a methamphetamine lab is punishable by up to 20 years in prison; possession of meth is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
