Finally: Saginaw fights back against violence

Saginaw is a city with one of the highest per-capita violent crime rates in the country.

A group of organizations and public officials plan to tackle that issue head-on this month with a campaign using education and public discussion as weapons to combat violence and gang activity.

The campaign kicks off with anti-violence/anti-gang summit at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at The Dow Event Center.
