Dow Chemical/Corning labor reps meet

MIDLAND, MI -- Worker 'fatigue' and safety were among the top issues discussed when Dow Corning and Dow Chemical labor leaders met recently to discuss common concerns.

[body]The Dow North American Labor Council, which represents about 3,000 workers at 10 ten Dow Chemical Co. and Dow Corning Corp. sites across the country, met recently in Kentucky to discuss common issues.

Kent Holsing, President of United Steelworkers, Local 12075-Dow Chemical MiOps-Midland and Chairperson of the Dow North American Labor Council, said the annual meeting was mostly positive and provided a platform for the discussion of common concerns and possible solutions, and the sharing of collective bargaining data.
