Midland County Board seeks replacement

The county is now accepting applications for the District 1 seat, due to the recent death of Howard Schoenherr. Applicants can pick up the paperwork at the Midland County Clerk’s office and must return it by Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. The only requirement is that the applicant be a resident and registered voter of District 1.

Two Isabella Bank execs earn advanced banking degrees

Steve Pung, President of Isabella Bank, announced the graduation of Tom Wallace, President of Isabella Bank’s Northern Division and Jeff Smith, Vice President, Commercial Lending from the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The School was established in 1945 to provide bankers with an opportunity for advanced study and research in banking, economics and leadership.
