Dow, Bay City Western soccer tie 1-1

Dow High and Bay City Western exchanged first-half goals and then shut each other down the rest of the way for a 1-1 tie in Saginaw Valley League North Division soccer Monday. Felide Haddad opened the scoring with an unassisted goal for Dow just eight minutes in, and Western’s Briton Ott answered with a goal with about midway through the first half.

The Chargers (4-2-3 overall, 1-0-1 SVL) host Flint Powers on Saturday.
