The accident occurred on May 20 when a truck, driven by an intoxicated Dexter Hite, went off Sturgeon Avenue by Gibson Street and destroyed utility boxes and some trees. Hite was apparently attempting to harm himself.
The sentencing terms include 93 days in jail with credit for five days and the remaining days suspended, $1,000 fines and costs, $10,785 restitution and two years probation.
