Midland volleyball reaches Silver Division final

Midland High reached the final of the Silver Division at Saturday’s Portage Central volleyball invitational, before losing 25-18, 25-18 to Rockford.

In pool play, the Chemics beat Rockford 25-17, 25-21; lost to Birmingham Marian 25-18, 25-19; lost to Livonia Ladywood 25-17, 21-25, 19-17; and beat St. Joseph 23-25, 25-22, 17-15. Midland then defeated Fruitport 25-20, 25-8 in the Silver semifinals.
