A man from Shepherd was in serious condition after he was struck by a car on M-20 early Friday morning. Jerry Kenneth Herrick Jr., 51, was in the right lane of M-20 near South 11 Mile Road when he was struck by a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix at 1:07 a.m.
The driver of the car, Ashley Lynn Laurent, 22, was not hurt and was arrested for drunken driving. Her preliminary breath test results were .11 percent.
