Northwood is off to its first 3-0 start (2-0 GLIAC) since 2006. NU senior quarterback Aaron Shavers had the best game of his three-year NU career, while the Timberwolves’ defense rendered the Falcons' Pedro Powell — the GLIAC’s leading rusher — nearly inconsequential in a 49-14 victory over the Falcons.
“Aaron had a huge day. ... I would say this was the best I’ve seen him play in both running and passing the ball,” NU Coach Mike Sullivan noted. The Timberwolves head to Tiffin next Saturday.
