Engineering firm Wade Trim has submitted an additional $26,000 bill to the village of Sanford while the downtown road project is completed. The council has turned the bill over to MDOT, as they believe they shouldn't be required to pay for engineering errors committed by Wade Trim.
In addition, the council received a bill for another $16,000 for expenses incurred in “going long” in the contract. Wade Trim told the village it was not in charge of that aspect of the project.
