Spartans smother Chippewas, 41-7

A record CMU crowd of 35,127 watched the No. 11 Spartans blast the Chippewas 41-7 on Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, in MSU’s first ever trip here.


Midland's Andrew Maxwell lead the Spartans to victory.  He completed 20 of 31 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns, throwing the ball with sharpness after some early jitters. He handed 18 times to Le’Veon Bell, who picked up 70 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
